FAQ

Q: What is the carb source and mixture? Both products use a 2:1 maltodextrin to fructose ratio. This dual-transport approach is well-documented in sports nutrition research — the two carbohydrate types use different gut transporters, which allows higher absorption rates per hour than a single carb source. The 2:1 ratio is supported by research from multiple institutions including the Gatorade Sports Science Institute

Q: Why is NNN priced the way it is? We price to cover our costs, pay ourselves fairly, and keep the product accessible to athletes who use it regularly. No celebrity endorsements, no inflated packaging budgets, no mystery markup. Ingredient cost, production, and honest margins.

Q: What is the recommended dose per bottle? The flavour profile is optimized around 90g per bottle (3 scoops). If you're new to higher-carb fuelling, start at 1-2 scoops and work up — your gut needs time to adapt. See our Instagram post on working up to higher doses and the associated benefits.

Q: I'm getting clumping. What should I do? Follow the mixing order on the packaging:

  1. Add mix to bottle
  2. Fill halfway with water
  3. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds
  4. Top up with remaining water

Some clumping may remain but typically dissolves within 15 minutes. Pre-mixing 15 minutes before your activity is the simplest fix.

Q: Where is your product made? Race Day Mix and Standard Mix are produced in our dedicated commercial kitchen in the Kootenays, BC. Dedicated means no shared production lines and no cross-contamination risk with other products. FoodSafe certified.

Q: Does your product contain caffeine? No.

Q: Is your product suitable for vegans and vegetarians? Yes. Plant-based, no animal products.

Q: Can your mix be used for sports other than cycling? Yes — anything high-output and long-duration: running, triathlon, trail running, gravel, cross-country skiing. The carbohydrate and electrolyte demands are similar across endurance sports.

Q: Are there any allergens? Produced in a dedicated facility. No nuts, gluten, dairy, or soy in our products. Check the label for the full ingredient list and any specific allergen concerns.

Q: How should the mix be stored? Cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Seal the bag after opening.
