So, you've decided to purchase some drink mix and have been having some challenges with making a bottle of mix. If you add the powder first, the stuff on the bottom doesn't mix well with water. If you fill the bottle with water first, the powder sits on top and can spill over the sides of the bottle.
This should be easy, right? Well it can be a bit tricky. We have found that the following steps deliver the best results.
- Fill your water bottle half-way with water
- Add your desired amount of mix
- Put the lid back firmly on shake the bottle with zest for 10-15 seconds
- Top-up bottle with water
Bonus-tip: If you can remember to prepare your mix ahead of time, it will ensure all the powder has a chance to completely dissolve. This usually takes 10-15 minutes. So even if you do prepare a bottle right before a workout and still have some minor clumping, trust that it will likely be dissolved by the time you hit that first interval or meet up with your friends.
